Herald Elementary Acts of Kindness
We are finishing up a really cool project this week that was led by our Cardinal Kindess Club (CKC). Because this week is national Random Acts of Kindess Week, the whole school has participated in doing acts of kindess. Each day the students have reported the number of acts of kindess, and as of Wednesday we have almost 900. There should be even more by the end of the day today. We have a visual display in the cafeteria.

On Tuesday Feb. 11 the Junior Achievement Investor Challenge Team of Collinsville High students Tim Aman, Andrew Dempsey, and Eric Shockley performed at a high level and brought home medals from the event held at Tulsa Tech. (photo of medal winning team with their Trading Mentor Olivia Freeman).

In addition, Collinsville businessman Chuck Unrhu of RUH Oil invested his time in Collinsville High students by serving as the Trading Mentor for Zach Breeding, Lane Reed, and Logan Robertson. The Unrhu team had a top 10 finish against a competitive field of 50 teams representing leading Tulsa area public and private schools. Students Tyler Rairdon, Bryson Pahukoa and Trevor Brown were active participants in the trading day and look forward to improving their standing with the valuable experience.

Collinsville FFA Builds Raised Beds
Thanks to John Shannon, who donated the material and his time. Mr. Shannon spent three days educating the students on how to build the raised beds. Now the chapter has four raised beds for the horticulture class and the chapter to learn and benefit from.
