The Neosho County Community College Board of Trustees voted at a special board meeting Monday, July 19 to appoint Dr. Brian Inbody President of the college effective July 31. NCCC is in Chanute, Kansas. Inbody is a 1985 Collinsville H.S. graduate.

"The Board is truly excited and confident about their appointment of Dr. Inbody as President," Dave Peter, president of the board of trustees said, "we like the high energy and excitement he brings with him."

Inbody came to Kansas in 2003 as vice-president for student learning from a position as dean of academic studies at Southwestern Michigan College. He began his career in higher education 18 years ago as a broadcast instructor at Northeastern Oklahoma A& M College in Miami, a position he held for nine years. Inbody holds degrees in mass communication from Oklahoma State University and a docorate in education from the university of Arkansas. He lives in Chanute with his wife Jenifer, who is a middle school counselor at Chanute, and his two daughters Abrille, age 10 and Alayna, age 8. Brian is the son of Dave & Judy Cox and Dee and Terri Inbody of Collinsville. His brother, Scott Inbody, also lives in Collinsville.
