|The Collinsville Patchworkers met Oct. 14 and enjoyed a program by Janice Coke, who shared information and hints on attaching bindings to quilts. She stated that the bindings are the most important part of making a quilt - it's a final chance to tie in your colors, square up the quilt, and frame all the beautiful work in the middle. Hazel Gast won the fat quarter drawing and chose Christmas fabrics for the November drawing. Linda Pfeffer collected handmade items for Newborns In Need - 93 items and over 192 hours showed how busy members have been! All the baby blankets, layettes, etc. were delivered Oct. 16 to the Tulsa coordinator for the Eastern OK Chapter of NIN - on their way to area hospitals. -- Linda Pferrer (10/16/2008)|
