This was the scene after the game as a bashed car, being used for a fund raiser, created a potentially dangerous situation as it was somehow ignited just behind the home stands.
A Collinsville field goal on the first play of the fourth quarter gave Collinsville the lead at 16-14. The Cards had a great chance to extend that lead when they drove to the Cleveland 5 yard with about 4 minutes left in the game. Collinsville was not able to convert on 4th down from the five and Cleveland took over with 3:20 left. Cleveland's next play was a 95 yard keeper by their quarterback McIntire which was called back to their 20 by an illegal block in the back. Another odd play had the Cleveland center hike the ball past the quarterback with Collinsville recovering but that play was blown dead as Cleveland had called a timeout before the snap with 2:49 remaining. Cleveland later was backed up to their own 15, but a pass to the 30 gave them a first down at 2:33. Cleveland took the lead at 1:30 left in the game with a 50 yard pass play. Collinsville was intercepted with 46.4 seconds remaining to seal the loss at 16-21.
This was the 50 yard pass play Cleveland completed to win the game. The Cleveland receiver (arrow) was on the 24 yard line when the photo was taken. The final Collinsville defender almost made a play at the goal line after taking on the last blocker ... but the Cleveland receiver dove into the enzone with a minute and 30 seconds remaining.
Collinsville's first Touchdown was this 1/2 yard run by Chad Ausmus made easy by his blockers putting everyone on the ground but the official. The score came with 4:26 before half. Bugg's PAT was good to tie the score at 7-7 . Cleveland had scored first with a 29 yard pass play just before the first quarter ended.
The Cards' #31, Justin Scott, blocked a Cleveland punt and ran it into the enzone to give Collinsville the lead at 3:29 before half. Jesse Bugg's extra point try was partially blocked and the score was 13-7.
Cleveland scored on this 4th and 8 pass with only 36.8 seconds remaining in the first half. After their extra point kick they lead 13-14. Another key play in the drive was a 31 yard quarterback run to the 6 yard line with 57 seconds left.
