The Collinsville Cardinals celebrate their second victory of the season after besting Wagoner 13-7 here Friday night.
1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
Collinsville 0 7 0 6 13
Wagoner 0 7 0 0 7

Cardinal defender Lenard Creek intercepts this Wagoner pass in the endzone with less than 20 seconds left in the game to preserve the Collinsville victory.

The game's first score came on a 4 yard Nick Rabbitt carry at 11:55 in the second quarter. Josh Compton was injured on the TD play. The PAT kick was good and the Cards lead 7-0. On the next possession Wagoner tied it up with a 71 yard pass play. The final score came with 4:13 left in the game The Cards had just held on downs and started from their own 21 yard line at 6:21 left in the 4th. Collinsville had moved the ball out near midfield before quarterback Tyler Whitaker hit receiver Ricky Rimpley in stride at about the 25 yard line with Ricky running it in from there. The extra point kick was not good and the Cards lead 13-7. Wagoner ran the kickoff back to their own 45. They then rushed to the 49 yard line before a near sack, escape and grounding penalty backed them to their own 32 with 3:23 remaining. A pass got Wagoner back to their 40. They punted to Collinsville with the Cards starting at their own 26 with 2:53 left in the game. A short carry by Creek, was followed by two strong Nick Rabbitt carries and it looked like the Cards might be close to a first down. Instead, the referee signals a fumble (not visible to me?) and Wagoner is set up at the Cards' 37 yard line with 1:25 remaining. Wagoner threw two incomplete passes, and then a completion to the Card's 29 with less than a minute remaining and faced a 4th and 2. Wagoner picked up a first down with a gain to the 25 yard line with 47.6 seconds left. A pass out of bounds followed by a fumble/recovery, left Wagoner with a 3rd and 10 and 32.9 seconds. On the next play, Collinsville's Lenard Creek intercepted the Wagoner pass in the endzone to preserve a six point Card lead.
Nick Rabbitt (#22) was stopped on this play inside the 5 yard line to end the first quarter. He scored on the first play of the second quarter and Collinsville had a 7-0 lead after the extra point was kicked by Jesse Bugg.
