The
Cardinal's Zeb Yeager scored the second Collinsville touchdown on this 9 yard
run in the 4th quarter. He also ran in a 2-point conversion to bring the Cards
within a touchdown at 14-21 with 2:42 left in the game.
This
Joseph Purtle (#24) punt was late in the 1st quarter to end Collinsville's second
possession.
This
pass to Aaron Thomas got the Cards to Skiatook's 42 yard line on their second
possession which started after Skiatook punted to the Card's 44 on their first
possession. Collinsville only gained another yard on this drive before a sack
and a penalty left them with 4th and 23. The Card's punted to Skiatook's 18
(photo to the left), but a penalty started Skiatook at their 34 for their second
possession. Skiatook finished that possession when they scored on a 4th &
8 for a one point lead at 8:01 in second quarter. That 6-7 score held up till
the late in the 3rd quarter.
Collinsville's
Cheerleaders urge the crowd from Collinsville to "Stand Up With Cardinal
Pride".
Coach Poindexter saw more
of Skiatook's #20 running free that he had wished for. This gain was to the
Card's 24 yard line on Skiatook's first scoring drive.
Justin
Scott makes a nice gain on this pitch play near mid field for a first down on
the Card's 3rd possession of the game. That drive stalled and Collinsville punted
into the enzone with 6:12 remaining in the first half.
