After rolling to a 17-0 record the C.H.S. Academic team finally met defeat at the hands of a team from Missouri at the NEO A&M (Miami) invitational, Nov. 4th. Then at the Green Country Academic Tournament, Nov. 8th, Oologah managed to post two wins against Collinsville (having lost the three previous attempts). Collinsville's record now stands at 22-3 and they are preparing to host the OSSAA Regional Academic Tournament this Saturday, Nov. 15th at 10am. This tournament, in Collinsville, will decide who advances to the Area Tournament (and a chance for State). The tournament also has competition for 7th & 8th grade teams in addition to the H.S. varsity teams.

The C.H.S. Academic Team is composed of seniors: Marty Cooper, Ryan Logsdon and Justin Smith; junior: Steven Frazee and sophomore: Kelsey Hewlett.

The Academic Team gave a demo of their skills at the Oct. 31 (Halloween/Pryor Football Game) Pep Rally at the High School.
