National Read a Book Day

Dateline: [ Friday September 6th, 2019]
Collinsville FFA members read to little kids

On Friday, September 6th Collinsville FFA participated in national read a book day by reading books to students at ECC and Herald. It was a great experience all around not only for the elementary students but for FFA members as well. The children learned new things about Agriculture and were able to ask as many questions as they pleased. FFA members had the chance to be advocates for agriculture through this experience. Laney Branen, Justin Branen, Ashley Porter, Caysi Meyers, Hope Wolf, Laryssa Wheeler, Austin Zobisch, Bryson Talbot, Dalton Porter, Lauren Shoulders, Daisie Jackson, and Kelsi Thomas all took the opportunity to read to these kids. Members read all types of agriculture based books about animals and answered many questions about animals and other things. They also got to know the kids by asking them questions about their animals and pets at home.
