Earlier today, Saint Thérèse Catholic Church became aware of an email-based scam targeted at Collinsville area businesses and organizations. The email claims to be from “Rev. Ernesto Cavillo” and asks that the recipient send Amazon gift cards in various denominations “for a friend of mine going through cancer in the hospital.” The emails are fraudulent and should be ignored. -- JAKE BRILLHART (5/26/2019)
