holds Tri-County fair for many people to participate in. The Tri-County Fair is held by Collinsville at the Collinsville fair grounds for many FFA and 4-H member to get the showing season started. Collinsville FFA and Chelsea FFA help put together all the pens and set up the show ring on Tuesday, August 20.We had several hands help put together this year's set up for Tri-County Fair. On Thursday the 22nd we started the fair off with the dog show it was a great evening and we had several people participate and also had many come out to cheer them on. They showed off their dogs tricks and dressed up. It was a great learning experience for not only the kids but also others. Then we move into Friday were we had our swine show. There were several people from all over that came to take part in our swine show. It was a long evening but also a great one. Finally, on Saturday we had many different things going on. We started the morning off with the tractor driving contest. Then later in the day we had the Cattle show lots of people came out to show and many came out to cheer them on. We also had our rabbit show going on in the veterans building. Then we moved into our sheep show which also had several participants. We ended the evening with the Goat show which our FFA treasure Ashley Porter participated in and got 3rd and 4th. We also had several other FFA members from Collinsville participate in this year's Collinsville Tri-County Fair ranging from cattle to sheep to goats and some also participated in the dog show. It was a great learning experience for everyone that came out and participated and watched as they cheered on each person there. FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success. Members are future chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields. FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership.
