Pam Polk, Collinsville City Manager, receives prestigious Gerald Wilkins Award

Makes Oklahoma history as first female recipient

(TULSA, Okla.) – Pam Polk, City Manager for Collinsville, Oklahoma, has been chosen by the City Management Association of Oklahoma (CMAO) to receive the Gerald Wilkins Award for outstanding performance. This award honors the late Gerald Wilkins, former OML President, longtime city manager and municipal advisor to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

The Gerald Wilkins Award honors Polk for her energy, focus and determination, which have been transforming the City of Collinsville since July 2005 when she assumed the position of City Manager. In addition to her municipal work, Polk participates in the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce, the CMAO, and is the Executive Director of the Miss Collinsville Pageant. In addition to becoming the award’s first female nominee, Polk makes Oklahoma history as its first female recipient.

The City’s new police station, City Hall, community center, and trails surrounding the Collinsville lake are just a few of the projects that have benefited the City because of Polk’s management. As a grant writer, Polk has obtained approximately $40 million in grant funding for public infrastructure and quality of life improvements/enhancements during her 12-year tenure.
