Collinsville Library May Events
We have many great events at the library for May 2017. Please help us spread the word.

Join the Teen Team 2017 Volunteer Program. Volunteers assist librarians with activities during the Summer Reading Program and get hands-on job experience. Fill out an application and return it to the library location where you are interested in volunteering. Teen should be 13-15 years old and able to work for several hours a week. •After School Teen Time on Wednesday, May 3 from 3:30-4:30 pm – Gaming! Join us for online gaming. For ages 10-18.

•Family Night at the Library on Thursday, May 4 from 6-7:30 pm - Enjoy a good old-fashioned game night with family and friends. We'll provide the games. For all ages.

•Sukikyo! Anime Club on Wednesday, May 10 from 3:30-4:30 – Discuss your favorite manga characters and books while making a craft. For ages 12-18.

In honor of National Library Week, Tulsa City-County Library is forgiving all overdue fines during the entire month of April. So, bring back all overdue books, CDs, DVDs and other library materials in April and have your overdue fines forgiven. *

Collinsville Girls Soccer Camp In June
Coach Chase Wooten’s NSU soccer program is gearing up for the 2016 summer camp sessions. After completing his sixth season with the RiverHawks, the women’s team finished with the most successful season in their 20-year history. With a wealth of camp experience and insightful knowledge of the game’s demands, Coach Wooten offers a wide variety of camps. The summer camps are targeted for specific ages and experience levels. We have coaches from around the region along with current and former NSU soccer players working to help ensure a quality experience for each camper.

Kaylyn Branen competed in the District Ag Policy speaking division on April 25th at Connors and place 1st.

Kaylyn Branen competed at the State speech contest on April 27th. Only the top 5 places are announced so we do not know what her final placing is but she was one of ONLY ten who qualified for state.

Laney Branen competed in the State Agriscience Fair on April 27th.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Earl Sears welcomed Steven Moran from Collinsville to the Capitol from Feb. 6-9.

Steven Moran, a Collinsville native, represented House District 11 as a page for the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

“It was a joy to have Steven serve as a page at the Capitol,” Sears said. “Pages like Steven are proof of the promise and future of our great state.”

House pages run messages to legislators while they are in the chamber debating policy and voting on measures. Pages also participate in a mock session, in which they learn legislative procedure and how to write legislation.

Moran is the son of Sheri and Kurt Moran He is a home schooling junior and is also studying pre-engineering at Tulsa Tech.
