Directors Report --
* Kelly Hamlin -- Testing going smooth -- teachers did find several
test manual instruction errors. Sixth grade only has two students who
haven't completed testing. HS started this week.
* Julie Crutchfield -- Receiving ~$60K grant to support suicide prevention
efforts already started. Guessing maybe 1-2% more cuts in funding. Corporate
tax refunds make corporate tax an unreliable income source.
* Andrea Reser -- Introduced her replacement ("Chef" Michell
Janah). CNP revenue up & expenses down.
* Jim Riley -- Looking to reduce athletic department paperwork. More
online and allowing electronic signatures for necessary documents. Art
Smalygo setting up now. Maybe trip tickets later.
16.
Superintendent's Report -- Lance West reported
on these topics:
* Estimated carryover might be 11%
* Grown 150-160 kids
* $21k likely from MS chiller tower insurance claim (waiting on Carrier
units)
* Treat Solution - offers cleaning supplies analysis (if purchase their
supplies)
* OSSBA Summer Conference
* Senate Bill 02 (by J.J.Dossett) would end social studies EOI test
* Might bring initial bond thoughts to next board meet - $22 million
in 3 phases over 7 years
Upgrade 2 labs at CHS
* Met with CHS Student Advisory Committee 2 hours today - diverse group
- good input to consider from 26 students.
