6) Discussion and Vote to Appoint a Resident Teacher Committee
-- Approved (only two first-year teacher this year and Cheryl Hunt &
Kelly Hamlin will mentor)
7) Discussion and Vote to Approve FY2016 Estimate of Needs and Financial
Statements. -- Approved, ~$16 million conservative
estimate of revenue.
8) Discussion and Vote to Approve Alternative Education Plan for FY
2017. -- Approved, 2nd year with daytime hours
(10:30-3:30pm) working well. About 43 currently enrolled ... had 48
last year. 11 graduates last year. Few discipline reasons for alternative
... more for absenses and credit recovery. 10-15 students per class.

9) Proposed Executive Session to Discuss Resignations, Hiring of Personnel,
and Reassignment of Personnel Pursuant to Section 307 (B) (1) of the
Open Meeting Law, O§, so that the Board May Return to Open Session
And Vote to Accept or Not Accept Resignations and Hiring of Personnel.
10)Vote to Convene in Executive Session.
11) Acknowledgement to Return Board to Open Session.
12) Executive Session Minutes Compliance Announcement.

-- Hamlin - Pre-ACT to 10th graders this fall (FREE). Still waiting
for spring test results
17) Superintendents Report. -- Lance West
reported on these topics:
* Staff / board member photos at HS Sept 15th
* "Do the Due" t-shirts (with Terry Due's visor) ... being
ordered within district
* Credit recovery had been during the day ... now online and before/after
school ($50 per course). About 10 students so far.
* 2779 total enrollment (September 9th) ... but a dynamic number daily
... up about 70 over last year ...which was up about over over 2 years
ago. Indergarten is largest group with 2nd and 7th also large. 188 senior
class size is largest so far.
* Free and Reduced lunch counts down at most campuses.
* Next Saturday (Sept. 24) football fundraiser breakfast
* ACT score from ast year down ... expected with many more students
taking the free test ... still above state average (more results next
month).
* Strategic planning - committies looking at technology, transportation
and buildings
* Considering air conditioned buses infuture purchases.
18) Announcements.
* Sports teams doing exceptionally well
* Teacher of year will be announced at BK football
game.
* 2 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist -
can't announce until Wednesday
* Still waiting for new band uniforms to be competed / delivered
* Pep Assembly at HS kicks off week of Homecoming activities
* Lots of kids involved at HS sporting events
