Red Ribbon "R" at Herald Elementary
Our students at Herald made a GIANT Red Ribbon in honor of Red Ribbon Week while we were all wearing red. We learn about saying no to drugs, alcohol, and tobacco during this week, along with participating in some fun dress up days and activities. We all cooperated in forming our own Herald Red Ribbon!

CARDINAL FOOTBALL -- Jr. High at Skiatook
10-27-16

The Collinsville Cardinals Jr. High football teams traveled west on Highway 20 for the Highway 20 Bowl and a Metro Lakes Conference contest. Our freshman were playing for a conference title and undefeated season. The night was full of hard hitting, smash mouth football. Each contest was a special event. The 7th grade game played into an overtime festival that left both players and fans exhausted.
The Metro Lakes Conference teams are: Collinsville, Coweta, Claremore, Glenpool, Grove, Pryor, Tahlequah, and Skiatook. Many coaches considered this 5A conference to be the most competitive 5A conference in Oklahoma.

Collinsville 7th grade win a thriller in 3 overtimes 37-36. Finish with a 6 & 2 season.
Collinsville 8th grade loose a tough one 26-0. Finish with a 3 & 5 season.
Collinsville 9th grade win big 28-14. Finish 8 & 0 and are Metro Lakes Conference Champs. Our 9th grade class have two conference titles under their belt, 2014 and 2016.

With the close of our season I want to say thank you to so many, the coaches and their families for their sacrifices while coaching these young athletes, the parents for having to arrange transportation each morning at 7am for practice, and having trust in our coaches to coach your son, our Quarterback Club, Mrs. Jeannie Smalygo, Mrs. Cheryl Myer and our M.S. Cheerleaders for their support each week, our student assistants for having water and first aid for our players, our chain crews, press box workers, administrators, our great teachers, and the Cardinal Family for all the great support.

Don’t forget about our Jr. High football banquet next Tuesday, November 1st at 6:30 in the high school cafeteria.

“No One Fights Alone, We Fight With Daniel.” Daniel Malon a freshman student athlete for the Cardinals is suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Please keep Daniel in your prayers and look for updates on the Collinsville QB Club Facebook page or Daniel’s Trek on Facebook.
