Collinsville Choirs In Concert Monday Oct. 17th
We would like to let you know about an event happening here at the High School Monday October 17th at 7pm in the High School Event Center.

Our Fall Choral Concert entitled, "Meet the Choir" will feature an original composition by local composer Michael P. Stevens. "Life's Tale", based on a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson, was commissioned by the High School Choir. The choir will dedicate this piece of music to the memory of Terry Due, long time administrator and friend.

Concert will begin immediately after parent teacher conferences that evening. Admission is free!

This will be a great evening, hope to see you there!

XX. To F. J. S.
Robert Louis Stevenson

I READ, dear friend, in your dear face
Your life’s tale told with perfect grace;
The river of your life, I trace
Up the sun-chequered, devious bed
To the far-distant fountain-head.

Not one quick beat of your warm heart,
Nor thought that came to you apart,
Pleasure nor pity, love nor pain
Nor sorrow, has gone by in vain;

But as some lone, wood-wandering child
Brings home with him at evening mild
The thorns and flowers of all the wild,
From your whole life, O fair and true
Your flowers and thorns you bring with you!
