You Don't Have To Have Been In FFA To Help
Mr. Wright,

The Collinsville FFA Alumni is holding officer Elections Tuesday June 7th @ 6 pm in the Ag building at the High School. All Alumni members are welcome to come and vote!

I was hoping you could post this on your site to help us get the word out to get more of the Alumni members involved.

The goal of the FFA Alumni is to support the FFA chapter with activities and provide them the tools they need to succeed.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 4, 2016

LOCAL STUDENT(S) TO RECEIVE STATE FFA DEGREE

Austin Roberts and Morgan West of the Collinsville FFA chapter, were nominated to receive the State FFA Degree, the highest degree of active membership awarded by the Oklahoma FFA Association.

The honor is bestowed upon high school senior FFA members who have demonstrated outstanding supervised agricultural experience programs and leadership skills. Only 836 of the more than 27,000 Oklahoma FFA members have advanced through the Discovery, Greenhand and Chapter Degrees to earn the state honor.

Recipients received the degrees April 27 during the 90th State FFA Convention held at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.

All recipients attended a banquet in their honor and received the gold state FFA degree charm and a certificate. The banquet was generously co-sponsored by the Cherokee Nation, American Farmers and Ranchers, Davis Farms, Livingston Machinery, Oklahoma LP Gas Research, Marketing and Safety Commission, The Craig Foundation and Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 344/Oklahoma PHCC.

The degree recognition was co-sponsored by Shawnee Milling Company, Livingston Machinery, Oklahoma Farm Bureau and the Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation.

FFA is an integral part of the Agricultural Education division in the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education system. With more than 27,000 members and 359 chapters, the Oklahoma FFA Association is the fourth-largest state FFA association. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
