Tyson Garrison -- Life Saving EMSA Honor |
Imagine being a teenager
and going to the Tulsa State Fair with your girlfriend, you both have
a great time, but around 10:00 p.m. you decide to call it a night.
As you're walking to your car in the parking lot, your girlfriend suddenly goes into sudden cardiac arrest. What would you do? This happened to Tyson Garrison this year and his girlfriend, Cedee, this year. Tyson did everything right. He calmly called 911. Listened to our EMSA Dispatcher's instructions. Performed almost immediate CPR that likely saved Cedee's life. Heroes come in all ages, sizes, and colors. During this season of giving, last night we reunited Tyson and Cedee with eight of the EMSA medics involved in their call. We also gave Tyson a little something, EMSA's Everyday Hero Award. Thank you, Tyson, for being an example to others of doing the right thing in the most stressful of times. (12/9/2016) -- EMSA Tweet |
David Cheney -- Chief Master Sergeant |
This photo and announcement are that of a 1993 Collinsville alumni. He is the son of the late Randy Cheney who was over the janitorial for the Cville high school for years. I just thought this was news worthy. -- Ronn Badertscher 12/8/2016 |
