I've spent more time taking photos the past 3 days than I have getting them ready for online pages. Check back for soccer, tennis, and track over the next few days... and with spring break in progress I will not have names for many of them. -- Ted 4:15pm Friday

JH TRACK AT WAGONER 3/12/15

Thursday the jh boys track teams competed in the first meet of the 2015 season. The day was fantastic in every way. The weather was finally spring like, our boys ran hard, showed toughness, their ability to work together, and represented Collinsville very proudly. Final results have not yet been posted but below is the link to where all results and meet information can be found. http://www.ohstrack.com/outdoorcalendar15.asp

Our next jh meet is on Thursday March 26 at Glenpool. The 7th, 8th, and 9th grade Cardinals will all be in attendance. Here is the link to the Glenpool meet. Hope to see you there. http://www.ohstrack.com/trackinfo2015/glenpoolinfo32615.pdf

HS TRACK AT GLENPOOL 3/13/15

Friday the Collinsville High School boys and girls track teams attended the Glenpool Invitational Track Meet. The days weather was anything but pleasant as opposed to the day before at Wagoner. The cold north winds and constant rain proved too much for some, as many HS sporting events were canceled, including other HS track meets. We are very proud of the effort and toughness that our athletes showed throughout some very rough conditions. Some events were cancelled to keep our athletes safe therefore you won't find them in the final results attached here. http://www.ohstrack.com/trackresults2015/glenpool31315.htm

Overall we are very pleased with our teams progress and efforts and look forward to many successes in the season to come. Our next meet is Friday March 27 at Wagoner. Hope to see you there. http://www.ohstrack.com/trackinfo2015/wagonerinfo32715.pdf

Coach Rhonda Rogers Meet Comments --
(added 3/22/2015)

I felt we had a good showing for the first meet of the season. Some events were cancelled due to weather such as girls shot. Jordan Carney is a returning state qualifier and holds the school record with a throw of 34'09" and was unable to throw due to the weather. Chelsey Barton is also a returning state qualifier who now holds the school record for pole vault with a jump of 10' 06" at the Enid indoor meet earlier this year. The weather seemed to be a factor but was able to place 3rd with a vault of 9' 06. Freshman Lexi Draper tied for 5th with a jump of 7'06". Feshman Annie Haught placed 6th in the High Jump with a finish of 4'06". Sophomore Sydnie McClelland narrowly missed qualifying in the discus with a throw of 93'03". The 3200 M relay composed of Mallory Burd, Sami Harp, Ellen Thomas, and Carrington Buoy finished 6th with a time of 11:15.47. Freshman Carrington Buoy went on to finish 4th in the open 800 with a time of 2:39.28 and Junior Mallory Burd with a time of 2:48.44. Returning state qualifyier and Junior Ellen Thomas had the best finish on the day when she placed 1st in the 2-mile run with a finish of 12:59.55. I expect good things from this group of young ladies this year. We have a strong, dedicated group of Juniors with a talented group of Sophomores and Freshmen.
