The Whisenhunt family has had plenty of practice with softball senior night as Kylee Whisenhut (#15 CHS 2015) has been preceeded on Howard Ray Field by sisters Taylor (2006), Whitney (2004), and Breanna (2003). Cousin Rylee DeLozier and Coach Taylor Kite will keep the family on the field for a few more years.

Manager Ashley Lankford and centerfielder Kylee Whisenhunt are the only two seniors on the sophomore dominated 2014 CHS softball team.

Sophomore pitcher Gail Young (#2) pitched the game for the Lady Cards and put the tag on a Claremore runner to end the 3rd inning.

Rylee DeLozier (#27) has a 2 run homer in the 5th inning for a 5-1 score.

Ravyn Murphy (#5) had a rare inside the park grand slam home run Monday after two Claremore outfielders collided going for her long fly ball in the 5th inning to bring the score to 9-1.

The injured Claremore fielders (below) were eventually able to catch their breath and continue play.

Loren Falling (#16) was pitching and Ashlyn Ivey (#10) was catching to start the JV game that followed the varsity game and senior activities.

The Softball Lady Cardinals won the 1st game at the Oologah Invitational beating Bartlesville in a run rule of 9-0. Darci Chester had a 2-run homerun in that game. The 2nd game of the Oologah Invitational the Lady Cards lost 2-1. It was a great game. The Lady Cardinals finished the evening off with a Conference game against Skiatook at their place besting them 16-0. Brittany Kickapoo had a 2-run homerun in that game. It was a great day to be a Cardinal!!!!

The second day of the Coweta softball tournament has been canceled. The Lady Cards went unbeaten on Friday and were in the semi finals when the tournament was cancelled. -- Jim Riley 9/6/2014 -- Saturday
