Collinsville Downtown, Inc. is proud to once again announce downtown's hottest vocal contest, "Live at The Crown!"

Contestants 12 years old and older will compete for over $800 in CASH and prizes! Top Ten Finalists will compete and perform at the Finals Performance Show on December 12, 2014. The winner will be featured at the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade on December 13. Winner of competition will also receive $500 cash and be invited to perform live on stage at Herron's Crown Opry Theater at an upcoming Opry show. Second Place runner-up will receive $250 cash and Third Place will receive $100 cash. The top Jr. Vocalist, under age 12, will receive $50 and be featured at the Finals Performance Show. Talent promoters will also be present looking for the hottest new talent. All proceeds from the competition will go towards the downtown revitalization efforts of the Main Street Program.

“Of all the events that C.D.I. puts on throughout the year, I think this event is by far the most fun and exciting to be involved with,” commented C.D.I. President, Sherry Campbell. “We look forward to this event all year long! The talent is just incredible it certainly puts Collinsville on the map.”

Open Auditions will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 starting at 9:30 a.m. at Herron’s Crown Opry Theater. All contestants must be pre-registered no later than December 4, 2014. Pre-registration fee is $10. Last minute entries will be accepted at the door with a $15 entry fee. Spectators will be asked to pay a $5 spectator fee to watch open auditions.

The top ten finalists of the Open Auditions will go on to compete in the Finals Performance Show on December 12, 2014! Tickets for the Finals Performance Show are available for $10. Seating is limited so be sure and get your tickets ahead of time. You won't want to miss this exciting event!
