CEF Grant Check Presented
Collinsville Education Foundation Provides Academic Grants To Teachers
$23K This Year
$241K Total in 17 Years
The Collinsville Education Foundation trustees have been working all year to raise funds, several weeks to consider grant applications, and then this last Friday and Monday to hand out checks to the lucky teachers. These check are to be used for academic purposes within the Collinsville Public Schools and supplement tools and resources that teachers might need to pay out of their own pocket or do without in these tough school budget years. The annual CEF Golf Tournament in June had been the most successful fundraiser supporting the cause. Teachers and other Collinsville residents (and alumni) are all encouraged to join and/or donate to the foundation in their efforts to support Collinsville academics.

Note: I'm far enough behind that I decided to build this page without teacher names but have made exception for the two special family connections above. The CEF trustees appearing in many of the photos are Ron Evans, Bill Thomas, Bart Schultheiss, Rhonda Paul, Sheryl Witten, and Jeanie Barnes. -- Ted Wright -- (Also a"quest" poster appearances by OU's Bob Stoops (below) encouraging "Read Y'all" and several students.)
Carol Annn Sallee was so happy to receive her grant she was kissing the trustees.
There were several other teachers receivings grants but not available for photos on this page.
