Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.

Congratulations To The CHS Academic Team At Nationals This (past) Weekend in New Orleans
The CHS academic team placed 3rd at Nationals. We were going to try and surprise the kids and welcome them back. They are currently about five hours away. Do you think you could post a note or something on Facebook? I don't want to post it on mime because I don't want the kids seeing it. We are thinking they will be there at the high school around 9.... Ill let you know when they are closer.

Ted Note: I had hoped to receive a post nationals report with details of their 3rd place finish ... but need to remove this from the intro page and archive here to be able to finish out May news now that we are well into June. -- Ted 6/5/2014

I do have some additional academic team info (below) from the CHS undergraduate awards assembly May 21st.

Teacher Transition
There are just a few of the Collinsville Public School teachers that will either be retired or teaching elsewhere next school year. Kim Myers provided this photo from the May 28th last day for teachers activities for 2013-14. Classes for 2014-15 begin August 14, 2014 with many new faces.
CEF Fundraiser
The major fundraiser for the Collinsville Education Foundation's teacher grants if the annual golf tournament (Monday June 9th this year) ... but you will also have a chance to support Collinsville school academics by buying a chance on this grill with tickets to be sold during the June 14th Hogs 'N' Hot Rods activities in historic downtown Collinsville.

More CHS Academic Team News ...
The CHS academic team had a great year. The team has 9 members (6 freshman, 1 sophomore, and 2 juniors) which officially makes them a Junior Varsity team, but they competed as a varsity team all year ... prior to Nationals.
During the regular season (August-November) they competed in the Green Country Academic Conferene with a record of 17 wins and 2 losses.
In the OSSAA playoffs they finished 4th in their area. At the Oklahoma Science Bowl they finished 4th in the state.
In Addition to the team competitions, these students competed individually in the Oklahoma Tournament of Champions. In the first round the 9 students took 28 subject tests and 7 of 9 qualified for the second round. The second round Championship tournament was at OKC with 500 students from 57 school districts competing.
