JA Biztown
The 4th and 5th grade GT students at Herald Elementary visited JA Biztown in Tulsa after completing the JA Biztown curriculum. The curriculum and field trip combine classroom concepts and relevant application at Junior Achievement's interactive JA BizTown facility. JA BizTown helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the world outside of the classroom.

Elementary school students are not old enough to drive, work, vote, or be the boss, but, that doesn't stop them from working for Arby's, Bank of Oklahoma, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Cherokee Nation, Cox Communications, HollyFrontier, Linde, ONEOK, Reasor's, Ricoh, Schusterman Center, and Tulsa Tech in JA BizTown.

Home Representative Club May Meeting
Marsha Nachtigall (L) and Jeanie Barnes (R) presented current and future Club President Anita Mitchell with a scrapbook of this past year's activities at the final meeting of the year, May 13, 2014. The meeting was held at "Simply Parties" on Main Street, and a delicious salad supper was enjoyed by all.

Members exchanged Secret Sister gifts, and delighted in trying to guess who had been giving them secret presents all year! A summer meeting is planned to update projects, activities and by-laws in the club's yearbook.
