5th Grade Girl Scouts Painted Fire Hydrants Like Dalmations
Girl Scout Troop #24 finished their service project of painting all of the fire hydrants on Main St to look like dalmations, as requested by the Collinsville Fire Dept. The 5th graders, who are considered "Junior" Girl Scouts this year, chose this project to earn their Bronze award as a troop. The girls approached Allred Hardware about possible donations, and the local hardware store was generous enough to donate ALL of the paint for the project to the troop. A huge thank you goes out to them from our troop.

The 5 girls, who range in age from 10 to 12, planned all of the design and did all of the painting and clean up. Troop leaders Kimberly Byler and Amy Eddings were on hand for supervision. The Troop members in the picture from L to R: Kaitlyn K, Kylie K, Paige E, Avery B & (not pictured is Micah D).

Our troop hopes that kids and grown-ups alike will all have a smile for the new "mascots" on Main St!

June 24th Sample Ballot
Note: There are 3 different (Tulsa County Princinct 502) sample ballots below ... for democrats, republicans and independents. The republicans have the most choices in this primary. The general election will be November 4th (with potential runoffs Aug. 26th). If you live in Rogers or Washington Counties your ballots will likely vary. -- Ted Wright 5/30/2014
