Patchworker March News

Members of the Collinsville Patchworkers met at the Library March 11, to share Show and Tell items, and hear a program provided by Vickie Ewing about the history of Civil War quilts, and the hidden meanings created in their patterns - which aided those escaping to the North via the Underground Railroad. Ewing also shared directions to make fabric dish lifters for the microwave, and how to turn a terry cloth towel into fashionable color-coordinated bath mat.

Members also went over details for the Spring Retreat at Tulakogee Conference Center, and it was announced that the next meeting for the Patchworkers will be April 8, 6:30 PM at the Library - guests are always welcome!
