"Newspaper
Museum In Collinsville" Tours (For Young & Old) |
I had a young family from Owasso tour the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville early last week where they learned a bit about Collinsville and newspaper history. -- Ted Wright |
This 94-year-old "young" lady (who was born in Collinsville in 1920 but moved away to OKC when she was in the 2nd grade) was able to view Collinsville's Main Street as it looked in 1915 while at the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville. She and her daughter from Gore visited Collinsville June 5th. |
I've been "hanging out" at the museum before the Thursday free movies this month and will be in and around there Saturday during Hogs 'N' Hot Rods ... but your best bet is to email me for an appointment. This is prime weather right now before it gets too hot as I don't use an air conditioner there. -- Ted -- wrightted@aol.com |
Attention CHS Students |
Looking ahead to senior pages for the CHS Class of 2015 ... if you are attending Hogs 'N' Hot Rods this Saturday ... track me down for a photo with your favorite classic car or bike or other downtown landmark. If I'm not out on the streets, I'll be at the Newspaper Museum (1110 W. Main). Also note ... if I'm doing OK on time and battery charge ... I'm willing to take photos of any juniors, soph, and freshman also. -- Ted Wright 6/12/2014 |
I'd also be happy to take your photo just about any other day of the year if you let me know a day in advance and I'm available. -- wrightted@aol.com -- and I'm normally at my school office (across from the football field) during business hours ... including this summer. |

My old dog Georgia was checking out the paper work and her new dog tags after I finally got her back into compliance with city ordinances this week. I wish I had set a better (earlier) example as each dog in the city limits of Collinsville is supposed to be registered with the City yearly (starting) in January. Bring your proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination to the Collinsville Police Department (11th & Center) and purchase your tag(s). -- Ted Wright | |||

By the way, Georgia
is getting hard of hearing in her 15th year ... so I'm starting to do
a lot less whisting and yelling ... and replacing with a lot more hand
signals and keeping a line of sight to get through our daily routine. -- Ted 6/12/2014 |
