These students auditioned and were selected as instrumentalists for the elite 2014-2015 Tulsa Youth Symphony Orchestra. Nicole plays the oboe, Alyssa plays the flute. Heather and Deianira are percussionists. This is Deianira's second year in the prestigious orchestral program.

Davita Dialysis Donation To Arubah Clinic
Jeremy Brunk the administrator of the DaVita Dialysis Center of Owasso is shown presenting a generous donation of $1,000.00 to the Aruba Community Clinic. The Founder of the Arubah clinic, Hilary Nicholson is accepting the check along with board members Ken Ray Underwood, Kyle Terry and Glenn Krispense. The donation will help provide health care to many Collinsville families who would otherwise have no access to service. The Clinic is open every Monday and Thursday evenings.

Collinsville “Live at the Crown” Event Sparks Music Video Production
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 26, 2014

Collinsville Downtown, Inc. will host one of the most exciting and engaging, yet little known events to take place on Main Street. The “Live at the Crown” – Vocal Contest now in it’s third year will kick off with the preliminary auditions on Saturday, December 6, 2014.

Open Auditions will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the historic Crown Theater on Main Street. All contestants must be pre-registered no later than December 4, 2014. Pre-registration fee is $10. Last minute entries will be accepted at the door with a $15 entry fee. Spectators will be asked to pay a $5 spectator fee to watch open auditions.

The top ten finalists of the Open Auditions will go on to compete in the Finals Performance Show on December 12, 2014! The winner of the competition will be featured at the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade on December 13. First place winner will also receive $500 cash and be invited to perform live on stage at Herron's Crown Opry Theater at an upcoming Opry show. Second Place runner-up will receive $250 cash and Third Place will receive $100 cash.

Tickets for the Finals Performance Show are available for $10. Seating is limited so be sure and get your tickets ahead of time. You won't want to miss this exciting event!

“The “Live at the Crown” event is just another event that C.D.I. puts on that is really for, and about, the people of the community. We want to promote the talents of the those who live within the community of not only Collinsville but surrounding areas as well,” stated Sherry Campbell, C.D.I. President. “Collinsville is full of attractive boutiques, specialty shops, entertainment and restaurants, but we feel it’s the people that make us stand out. The “Live at the Crown” contest gives us the opportunity to showcase not only the appeal of our Main Street, but the people who love it!”

C.D.I. is also partnering with the City of Collinsville to produce a promotional music video showcasing all Collinsville has to offer. “We are inviting everyone who would like to participate in the video to contact our office. We’re talking thousands of people will be needed,” stated Campbell. “We plan to incorporate the vocal contestants as part of the video, as well as citizens who will be lining the streets to watch the Christmas parade.” Professional media Production Company, E.F. Productions, LLC over the period of several days to shoot the footage, will create the video. The video will feature Collinsville businesses, schools, city workers, police and fire, just about anyone or anything having to do with Collinsville.
