CHS Academic Team Off To Good Start
The Collinsville High School Academic Team had its first matches of the season yesterday (Tuesday Sept. 10th) at Sequoyah and we are off to a great start! In the first match we defeated Inola and in the second and third matches we defeated Sequoyah. Players for these matches were Lyndee Branen, Jordan Carney, Rachel Hadley, Deirdre Stock, Sydney Vogel, and Captain Cannon Vogel. Three and O is a great way to start! Go Cardinals!

3rd Annual Fall Festival
and Arts & Crafts Fair
Saturday, October 12, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Located at 14205 E. 146th St. North , Collinsville .

Meadowcreek United Methodist Church is hosting a community-wide Fall Festival and Arts & Crafts Fair.

The Festival is being held in conjunction with the annual Pumpkin Patch, with all proceeds going to missions/apportionments.


· Festival will be held rain or shine.

· Free to the public (*with the exception of the Maze).

· There will be arts and crafts vendors

· New for this year: A Maze that will be approx. 40’x40’ (1600 sq.ft.) with 4’ corridors and approx. 20 turns. Cost is $2.00 per person / $3 per adult w/child 8 or under. *This is the only game or activity there will be a charge for.

· A church sponsored bake sale, concession stand, streaming video and book sale.

· Games and Activities will include: Bean Bag Toss, Ring Toss, Tug of War, Sack Races, Catch a Duck, Bounce House, Face Painting.

· Entertainment throughout the day: a gospel singing Elvis Impersonator, The New Tulsans and The Faith Trio, Larry Lang’s Singing for Jesus Ministries , and our own Jim Igarta playing guitar and singing. Fergie Bear will entertain the children. Ward Wiseman Animal Haven will have pets available for adoption.

· Contests: Build-A-Scarecrow Contest, Pumpkin Coloring Contest (elementary age), and Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Rules and entry forms are available on the church website: http://www.meadowcreekumc.org/ under the Info Center tab.

· Giveaways: there will be a free drawing for Best of Business baskets which include gifts, gift certificates, etc. from area businesses. You must register at the Outreach/Hospitality Booth for your chance to win. Need not be present to win. Also, be sure to pick up a ticket for vendor giveaway drawings held throughout the day (must be present to win).

Sure to be a fun and exciting day for Collinsville and the surrounding area (rain or shine). Come on out and join the fun!!
