2013 JOM INDIAN EDUCATION ELECTION
One of the most important components of the Johnson O'Malley (JOM) Program is parent involvement. This October, parents of JOM eligible children will have an opportunity to get involved in the development of the JOM program at their schools.

Elections for JOM Indian Education Committee members will be held on October 8, 2013 at the Collinsville Indian Education Building, 310 S. 14th St., beginning at 6:30 p.m.

To serve on the JOM IEC, a person must be the parent or guardian of a JOM verified child. School board members or spouses and school employees or spouses can no serve on the committee.

Oklahoma Recycling Association Annouces PSA Contest
For HS Students

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OKRA (Oklahoma Recycling Association) is proud to announce this year’s PSA contest! The PSA contest is for High School students in grades 9-12. The contest is to raise awareness and emphasis on recycling across the state.

This year’s theme is “Recycling is Everybody’s Business” The OKRA Public Service Announcement Contest invites students to submit ideas for public service announcements that encourage recycling in their schools and communities with emphasis on how recycling saves natural resources and energy and reduces pollution. Entries must be postmarked by Friday, November 1, 2013.

Entries can be mailed to Chris Knight 723 S. Lewis Street / PO Box 1449 Stillwater, OK 74076. Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. For more details, please visit recycleok.org for full list of specifications and contest rules.
