CARDINAL FOOTBALL -- Jr. High Update
(-vs- Bartlesville "B" Oct. 8th)

The Collinsville Cardinals Jr. High football “B” team hosted the Bartlesville Bruins 8th grade “B” at Sallee Field Tuesday night in a rematch from last week. The Cardinals combined team of 7th and 8th grade players gave tremendous effort against the 6A opponent.

On the first possession of the night the Cardinals had little trouble moving the ball down the field. The O-line opened huge holes for the running backs to pound their way down the field. The defense of the Cards played hard but could not match the speed of the Bruins skill players. Bruins win 33-14. No serious injuries were reported.

The next “B” team action will be against the Kellyville Ponies on Oct. 22. The Cards will travel to Kellyville with the 7th grade game beginning at 5:30 and the 8th grade game at 6:30.

CARDINAL FOOTBALL -- Jr. High Update
(-vs- Pryor Oct. 11th)

The Collinsville Cardinals Jr. High Football teams traveled to Pryor Thursday night for the Metro Lakes Conference showdown. The rather large Pryor Tigers gave the Cardinals all we wanted in each contest. Each game demonstrated strong defense and ball control offense. The modified flex bone offense of the Tigers was difficult to stop in each game, but the swarming defense of the Cardinals proved that we were the better team. No injuries were reported.

7th grade win a close one 12-6
8th grade dominate 22-16
9th grade lose a close one 13-0

Next week is fall break for the Cardinals and we will take a few days off before our “B” teams travel to Kellyville for a 5:30 kick-off on Oct. 22. Then we round up our season with Oologah and Skiatook at home on Oct. 29 and 31st. Hope to see you at Sallee Field.
