Healthy Community Grants For City
FYI....wanted you all to know about the healthy communities designation and grant. Cville was awarded the excellence category for our work in trying to make the city a healthier place. Thanks to you all for helping make that happen.

Make it a great day!

Subject: Grant Awards

Thought I would let you all know that the city was successful in obtaining a CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) in the amount of $64,260. These funds will be used to help with drainage and street improvements in the post office vicinity.

I received word today that we were also successful in our efforts for a $20,000 grant from the State Health Dept for healthy communities. The funds will be used for further improvements to the park such as some additional lighting and
tennis courts' improvements.

Make it a great day!

Home Representative Club

(L-R): Louise Brazeal, Carolyn Brinkley, Alberta Bonebrake, Margaret Waldorf, Marsha Nachtigall were all honored for perfect attendance during the past Club year.

The Collinsville Home Representative Club met May 7 at the home of Anita Mitchell, for the final gathering of the 2012-2013 club year. Thirteen members were in attendance, plus guests Ellen Mitchell and William from Washington, D.C., and Ellen's father from Nottingham, England.

Final year-end reports and summaries were given, and a two-year scrapbook of club activities was presented to out-going President Marsha Nachtigall. Alberta Bonebrake presided over the ceremony for installation of next year's officers: President Anita Mitchell, Vice President Louise Brazeal, Secretary Susan Pratt, Treasurer Jill Oliver, Journalist Linda Pfeffer, and Parliamentarian Margaret Waldorf.

Members enjoyed a salad supper, and the evening concluded with the opening of gifts from Secret Sisters.
