March Chamber Meeting Explains the Art of Interviewing
Feb 28, 2013

For Immediate Release

Did you know that a single bad hire can cost you over $3500 (for a minimum wage worker!) and 41% of companies say that a bad hire in the last year has cost them at least $25,000?
Did you know that these companies say they've also paid indirectly in lost worker productivity, lost time due to recruiting and training and negative impact on employee morale?
Did you know that the main reason (38% of companies) why companies have bad hires is because they need to fill the position quickly?

No matter what your business, hiring the right person the FIRST time is critical to your bottom line. Local trainer and head of The Leadership Initiative, Clay Staires, returns to the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce at their monthly meeting Mar. 7 to look at the questions you need to ask in an interview to ensure you hire right.

Imagine what it would mean to your company if you could save all this money, time and energy because you had a proven interview system that let you know BEFOREHAND if the person would fit into your company. What would that be like??

You don't have to imagine it. IT'S POSSIBLE! In fact, Clay Staires has been using an interview model for the past 12 years that has practically eliminated his surprises and disappointments! And in this, Part 2 of Hiring the RIGHT People Series, he will:
Present several secret strategies that will help you increase your confidence that your next hire will have no surprises or disappointments.
Equip you with a number of specific questions along with their answer interpretations for your next interview,
Prepare you for when you have to hire in a hurry or promote under pressure.
You don't have to feel the constant weight and insecurity that comes with the fear of a bad hire! Build your confidence and your company by implementing this proven model of Recruiting and Interviewing. Chamber meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at the Collinsville Library meeting room. Lunch is provided for $8 and begins serving at 11:45 a.m. The meeting begins promptly at noon.

Speaker Clay Staires has been teaching, training and coaching leaders for over 25 years and has taught hundreds of people how to navigate safely through the struggles and pressures of life, leadership and small business. For 10 years he served as Executive Director of Shepherd’s Fold Ranch.
He has been awarded The Teacher of the Year and Coach of the Year in Missouri and was awarded the 2012 Chamber Citizen of the Year in Skiatook, Oklahoma. With his engaging, humorous and relevant delivery style, Staires has a unique ability to connect with today’s leaders in a memorable and impacting way.
