Colby
Phillips (Update For 2011 CHS Graduate) |
Update: After graduating
High School Colby attended TCC and NEO Miami, but a little over a year
ago started on his journey to join the ARMY. In May of 2012, Colby began
a strict exercise and weight loss program to help him reach his goal.
Colbys starting weight in May 2012 was 305 lbs. On August 17, 2012,
Colbys swearing into the ARMY took place. And on January 7, 2013,
weighing 204 lbs, Colby left out of Tulsa for OSUT (One Station Unit Training)
in Fort Benning, Georgia. On May 9, 2013, Colby graduated OSUT with the
highest scores in PT and weighing in at 197. Upon his return home on May
10, 2013, Colby was then married (to Jessica Giles of Broken Arrow) on
May 11, 2013 and left out of Seattle on May 14, 2013 to serve a year term
in South Korea. We are so proud of his accomplishments and his willingness
to make a sacrifice that only a few are willing to make. I just wanted
to share these accomplishments and express how grateful I am to be an
ARMY Mom. ARMY STRONG!
