Miss Collinsville Pageant
(Feb. 1, 2014 Finals)

Hi Ted,

I'm the new executive director of the Miss Collinsville and OT scholarship pageant. The pageant will be held beginning the evening of Friday, January 31, 2014 with interviews. The full pageant will then be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 6:30 pm at Faith Fellowship Church. It is an open pageant this year.

Home Representative Club

Members of the Collinsville GFWC Home Representative Club met Dec. 3, 2013 for their annual Christmas party and fundraiser. Almost $500 was raised for Heifer International, which will use the funds to purchase farm animals and clean water filters for impoverished families in foreign countries.

Angels from the RCB Bank tree were distributed, and wishes will be fulfilled in time for Christmas!

I know many of you don't care and many others don't know .. but please consider alternatives to tons of salt on our roads, bridges, sidewalks. -- Ted Wright

FYI - Using salt as a de-icer can damage concrete, metal, plants and the water shed. Use sand instead if possible.

And there are plenty of other factors ... but this is just one thing we can do to perhaps make our roads and bridges last longer.
