Meadowcreek Blesses Ground for Building Addition
The Meadowcreek United Methodist Church has broken ground on a new addition to its current Sanctuary Building.

Collinsville, OK, November 1, 2012: The Meadowcreek United Methodist Church held a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, October 21st outside its current facility to celebrate the construction of a new addition. The new building will help the church strengthen its vision to create fellowship and to better serve the congregation and the community of Collinsville. Pastor Brian Mangan led the blessing ceremony and encouraged members of the congregation to join him in breaking ground. Construction is currently underway.
Meadowcreek United Methodist Church is located at 14205 East 146th Street North in Collinsville. The Methodists began their presence in Collinsville in 1899, and was the first congregation to form in the community. The current Sanctuary Building is their third and was built in 2003 on 10 acres east of town as part of a three building site plan. The new expansion will enlarge the Nursery and provide enough space for a Fellowship Hall, flexible classrooms, and a kitchen facility. "There are over 22,000 people living within 5 miles of our church. Forty-one percent are below age 29 and nearly half of the households have children under the age of 18. So with this project, we aren't just building a building. We are developing a ministry tool that will help us reach and disciple young families living in our area," says Pastor Brian.
