FYI -- I'm not sure yet how to "appropriately" re-word it, but have a concern raised by a resident near 12th & Spring about viscious dogs (that killed her dog) in that neighborhood. -- Ted Wright -- 7pm Wednesday 5/9/2012 |
I received the first of several emails on this topic almost a week
ago (from differening viewpoints) and have pondered the correct way to
handle it on this web site while working off a backlog of other news over
those days. One approach would be to get in the middle of a neighborhood
dispute (which is already in the hands of city officials / animal control
officer) based on just this limited input. Another better approach would
be to investigate extensively on my own to verify the facts and present
them for all to consider. I chose to do neither of those (no desire for
the first and no time for the second) and instead serve only what I consider
my civic duty which is to identify a potential for dangerous dogs in that
area (which I have already done). And also treat this as a tragic loss
of "Halo" the dog shown above which was not disputed in any
of the info I received. -- Ted Wright -- May 15, 2012 3:45pm Tuesday |
Pending further developments
... Received a later email that the offending dogs have been put down. -- Ted 10:40pm |
