High School Counselors

As we have for the last 28 years, The Simon Estes Educational Foundation, Inc. will award Simon Estes Scholarships to deserving seniors this spring. Each scholarship is for $10,000, payable to the university of choice in annual disbursements of $2,500 for four years of undergraduate study. Awards can be applied toward tuition, books and fees. Scholarship continuance is based on available funding, academic performance and strict adherence to specific guidelines.

PLEASE ENCOURAGE Eligible SENIORS TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATIONS.

Counselors are asked to review applications for completeness, according to the attached guidelines, and send to:

Please remind students that scholarship applications, and all supporting paperwork, must be in the Foundation's office by 5:00 p.m., March 15, 2012. NO late applications or supporting paperwork will be accepted.

A copy of the Estes Scholarship application is attached. Please make additional copies as needed. The application is also available for download on our website, www.seef.org.

Qualifications include:
•Documented financial need
•Prior acceptance to the college or university of choice
• 3.5 GPA (weighted/un-weighted) or higher on a 4.0 scale
• Well-defined motivation to pursue a higher education
• Maturity and sense of purpose
• A personal sense of values (high moral standards)
• Permanent residence within 30 miles of Tulsa area
