8 Foot Inflatable Seal
The Collinsville Library staff is working on the Summer Reading Program Kick off for Collinsville. We just rec’d notice that an inflatable sea lion from Tulsa Zoo will be part of our program….all details are not firm as of yet but thought we could let you know for calendar information….we are planning now for the program to run the afternoon of May 19th with lots of activities and the sea lion here from 4:30-6:30 we will keep you updated…

Great news! The Collinsville Summer Reading Kickoff Party (May 19th 4:30 to 6:30pm) is going to have a special guest. An 8 foot inflatable sea lion from the Tulsa Zoo and a Tulsa Zoo staff member!

The Helmerich Sea Lion Cove is opening at the Tulsa Zoo in March and they will be out educating the community about our wonderful Zoo and sea lions to promote it.

Below is contact information for the Tulsa Zoo Education Department, Sarah Dyer will be able to answer any questions you will have about space, setup, etc.

Should be a lot of fun and a great chance to get the children excited about Summer Reading and the Zoo!

Planting a garden this year?
If you need a hand with tilling your personal or community garden, Cherokee Nation has a great offer for tribal citizens.

For only $25, Cherokee Nation Natural Resources Department staff will bring equipment to your personal-sized garden and prepare the soil by tilling it for you. There is no charge for tilling a community garden.

The NRD is accepting requests for tilling from now through March.
