Updates Schedule For 2012-13 CHS Wrestling
Graduating Soilder

Our son, Zach Salisbury, completed U.S. Army Basic Combat Training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, on Thursday, August 23rd. He is a 2012 Collinsville High School graduate. He is now taking Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Lee, Virginia where he is learning Power Generator Maintenance. When finished with AIT, he will go to Ft. Benning in Georgia for Airborne training.

I am Zach's father Ricky Salisbury, his mother is Nikki Salisbury (she is a Special Needs teacher at Herald Elementary), Zach's grandmother is Joan Salisbury (works at Collinsville Family Pharmacy), grandfather is Rick Salisbury and his maternal grandmother is Evelyn Denard of Owasso.

Collinsville FFA Members Compete At
Collinsville Tri-County Fair
The Annual Collinsville Tri-County Fair was held August 24-27th. Several members of the Collinsville FFA Chapter competed in the events held. Morgan West and Mckinna Cecil competed in the turtle race and placed 1st and 2nd respectively and in a second race traded and placed 2nd and 1st respectively. Austin Roberts placed 1st in two classes of the Doe show and had the Grand Over All Doe. Corbin Bell placed 1st in 5 classes during the Doe show, 2nd in three classes, 1st in his class during the wether show, as well as Grand Over All Wether.
Other FFA members that competed in the 4-H division were Michaela Branen who had the Grand Champion Lim-Flex Heifer and 2nd place prospect steer, and Morgan West who placed 4th, 5th, and 2nd in various divisions of the goat show.
Michaela Branen, Leigh Brown, Josh Moore, Morgan West, Dakota Fugate, Austin Roberts, Corbin Bell, Dustin Burch, Erin Doan, Halie Chanmbers all devoted time to working either at the fairgrounds or at the rodeo hosted by the local round up club the 25th and 26th.
