Collinsville Track & Field:
A HUGE thanks goes out to the community, parents, administrators, athletes, and coaches who made this season's home track meets a success! The high school track coaches are very pleased and thankful for all the help and support we received in an effort to welcome other schools and run an efficient meet. Some highlights of the meets include: 7th and 8th grade girls taking home first overall as a team, Collinsville 9th girls, 7th and 8th boys taking home second overall, Collinsville H.S. Girls receiving 3rd overall, and Collinsville 9th boys receiving 4th overall. Below you can find a link to view all JH and HS meet results.

Next Saturday, at Tahlequah High School, the Jr. High and High School cards will participate in the Metro Lakes Conference Meet. It will be grades 7-12, boys and girls. Parents might note that conference rules do not allow for "B" or "C" teams. Unfortunately this means not all Cardinal track members will compete. Your young Cardinal will be informed this week if they are to attend the meet. Field events will begin at 9:30am with running at 10:00am. Below is a link to the information and order of events for the meet.

Sportsmanship -- This Collinsville JrHi young lady ran along side (off the track) to offer encouragement to a Skiatook competitor who would have otherwise had a long lonely finish at the end of one of the distance races Thursday. I don't know who or the circumstances, but clearly the right thing to do. -- Ted Wright
Rare Cloud Light Show
I've been around for over 60 years now and until today had never before seen clouds form their own rainbow-like light show (without rain somewhere), This occured early afternoon during the JrHi Track meet in the sky facing south from the Collinsville High School Track. -- Ted Wright -- 6:45pm 4/19/2012
I took about 300 photos Thursday but can only share a small sample here online. Not enough time for names. -- Ted
