An individual was trapped briefly in what was left of his car after it flipped and was possibly split by a tree near 180th St. North on 113th E. Ave (19th Street) about 5pm Wednesday Sept. 28, 2011. Second hand witness reports indicate the victim was likely a 17 year old and had been traveling at a high rate of speed heading south in a single vehicle accident. The front end of the car (on the west side of the road) burned but the rest of the car (containing the driver on the east side of the road) did not. He was transported by Collinsville EMS with Collinsville Rural & Owens & Co. fire units responding. -- More later -- Ted 5:50pm Wednesday
(Unconfirmed Facebook posts indicates occupant might be CHS junior Blake Manley ... on his birthday) -- Ted 7:30pm Wed. 9/28/2011)

Just checked Facebook again (& unconfirmed) reports there indicate Callie Currier died in different accident? -- Ted 1:15am Thurs 9/29/2011
Ted,

Blake was released from the hospital after 10:00 pm last night. He was given three stitches and a concussion. It was his 18th birthday. He had just left my house when it had happened.
