Bishop Kelley hitters had several doubles to the wall like this one above in the 3rd inning but also had 3 solo homers Friday before a 3-run homer in the 7th put the game away.
Brant Werdel started on the mound for the Cardinals in the first game against Bishop Kelley.

Brant Werdel got the Cardinals started in their half of the first inning with a double.
Trevor Rabbitt drove in the first two Collinsville runs with this bases loaded single in the first inning to put the Cards up 2-1 over Bishop Kelley.
Collinsville had a chance for more runs in the first with Trevor Rabbit at third following a Steve Doss double but were unable to get them home.
Trent Lee led off the 3rd inning with a double but was tagged out (then landed on) at 3rd on a fielder's choice.
Designated hitter Tucker George reached on an error to start the Cardinals half of the 4th inning.
Conner Crutchfield advanced the runner with a sacrifice bunt in the 4th.
Trent Lee (#4) was thrown out at first base and the pinch runner (#1 ______?) was left stranded in the 4th.

Tyler Sherwood came on to pitch in the 4th inning with Collinsville down 2-5 and 2 on & 2 out.

Tyler Ames scored the final Cardinal run on a passed ball in the 6th inning to get Collinsville within 3-6. Ames led off with a single and Werdel doubled to get Ames to 3rd.
Appears the traditional local spring break wood bat tournament is off this year with the Cardinals traveling to Springdale, Arkansas, later in the week for a tourney there.

I left the Bishop Kelly game with Collinsville trailing 3-9 in the 7th inning and Tuttle preparing for the next game. -- Ted 7:15pm Friday
