Patchworkers July Meeting
The Collinsville Patchworkers met July 13, 2011 and enjoyed a demonstration by Loretta Eichelberger on how to use a bias strip maker, plus a program by Janice Coke who showed the group how to create a "Buzz Saw" block. Loretta also displayed some of the easily created sundresses she is making for girls in South Africa.

Linda Jenkins reported on her trip to Sisters, Oregon where she attended a seminar on the quilts from Gee's Bend, Alabama. Historically, the quilts were created for everyday use, and the makers were the original "re-cyclers," using whatever fabrics were on hand.

The next meeting will be August 9, and the color for the 5" square exchange will be purple.

2011-2012 School Calendar ... first day of class August 11th
Enrollment for NEW students ONLY begins July 18th. 8-6:30 Monday-Thursday. July 25th 8-4 regular business hours. We will also have transfer paperwork available at the Enrollment Center July 18th from 8-6:30 and then July 25th at the service center 8-3:30.

Alumni Volleyball Match -- There will be an alumni vs high school varsity volleyball match on Monday August 1st @ 6:30 in the high school gym.
