Thank You Collinsville
Ted,

I wanted to take this time to thank all the people who, not only sent prayers up for me and my family, but donated their hard earned money to help my condition. I know there are so many people out there that have it so much worse than I do, and to just be able to reach out to my community, with the smallest need or even the greatest, and get what I have in return, is simply amazing. With the help of God, all of you, and much needed medical attention, my Lymphendema is beginning to improve and I can now look forward to the greatest of things; chasing my little man around the house and yard as he grows. Thank you all so much again for everything you have done. I am forever changed and grateful.

Sincerely, Lacey Stout & Family.

Former Collinsville Resident
Skiatook -- January 28, 2011
Fire kills Skiatook man
A Skiatook man was found dead Friday morning after firefighters extinguished a fire that had engulfed his mobile home.

The body of Ben E. Pope, 68, was discovered in the burned trailer home at Lot 6 in O'Rourke's Trailer Park on North Cincinnati around 9:20 a.m. Friday.

The fire is believed to have been accidentally started by a space heater.

Skiatook fire and police responded, as did the state fire marshal and medical examiner.

Ben Pope was a long time Collinsville resident before moving to Skiatook to live with his brother Elmer. Ben was my Mom's cousin and son of Ruby (Carlile) Pope who was also a long time Collinsville resident and a 1921 CHS Graduate. -- Missy Delozier 2/22/2011
