Knitting Classes
Just an update ladies.......starting in March, we will meet twice a month at the library - the first Wednesday of each month, and the third Wednesday of each month.
The first meeting of each month will be a WIP ("work in progress") gathering.......we will knit, fix pattern problems, answer questions, and just get more comfortable with the art of knitting. The third Wednesday of each month will remain the same - learning new techniques, a practice session, and discussing what is current in the knitting world.
Therefore...the March schedule will be: March 2, 1:00-3:00 PM, and March 16, 1:00-3:00 PM.
If you have any concerns or questions in the meantime, always feel free to contact me via email, or phone - 371-5508.

Channel 8 TV Featured Collinsville Wednesday
I only got to view the 6pm & 10pm KTUL newscasts Wednesday so missed most of the Collinsville air time during Channel 8's "Rolling Down Main Street" feature. What I did see was complimentary on our new jail, animal haven and other numerous improvements completed or still in progress. I'm not much of a morning person so missed the band and cheerleaders who had to be ready for the camera at 5:45am. -- Ted

Snow To Mud Transition
With about 2 feet of snow on the ground in the opening days of February it seemed as if we would be waiting for months for it to be gone. But with an unexpected string of 50s, 60s and then 70 degree days the transition to slush then mud has been remarkably fast. This photo was taken Wednesday and that snow is now all gone. The only remaining snow piles today (Thursday Feb. 17) were the largest "mountains" of snow from the earliest street clearing operations.
