Hannah's Helping Hands, Inc. — Our Mission
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance to families with children battling cancer. Many families need help with the most basic needs for their families during this fight for their child’s life. Some must leave work for months and even years to care for their sick child and the financial loss can be devastating. Our goal is to help as many families being treated locally as possible. We help with basic needs such as gas & food cards, groceries, wigs, utility payments, prescriptions, medical co-payments, rent/housing as well as other expenses. Our referrals come from doctors, nurses and staff at a local children’s hospital in Tulsa as well as our local communities.

Cook/Pitts College Softball Update
Ted:
I wanted to share a great story with you about two Collinsville girls that are doing a great job in college! Lacie Cook and Rachael Pitts are attending Labette Community College on full softball scholarships. Last Wednesday, both girls were instrumental in helping lead their team to the first ever softball title in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Eastern Division.

The Cardinals had to defeat Highland Community College twice in order to win the conference title. Both games were very close and came down to the wire. Rachael hit a two run home run in the first game to help the team to a 5-3 victory. Lacie hit a home run in the second game to help the team to a 4-1 victory. Both girls have hit 6 home runs on the season! And in a play just like the “old days” at Collinsville High School, Rachael threw a ball to Lacie to tag out a runner stealing second base! It was AWESOME!

This weekend Labette will host the first round of the regional tournament on their home field April 30 through May 1.

VCO Bingo Night (May 10th)
Ted,

I am on this years board for Victory Cherokee Organization, and just want to keep you updated and informed on our local activities.

We will be working on several activities for this summer, that are culturally educational and fun for all ages. The Bingo night is to help us raise some funds to get started and I am sure we will have fun doing it as well.

Thanks,
Ed Phillips (918) 553-1078
