Please mark your calendar and join us at the Collinsville Library for the Kick off of the Summer Reading Program and Ribbon Cutting for renovations to the Collinsville Library. After 10 years it was time to update and add a new spark to your library. Also will have the first scrapbook available for you to peruse…the first 40 years of Collinsville Library.

We will have visitors from the Tulsa Shock Women’s Basketball Team, Mayor Sallee, The Chamber Members who can come, the branch and department managers from the other TCCL libraries, and hopefully lots of students….Please help us pass the word to the community and join us for a fun afternoon.

The Collinsville Home Representative Club met May 4, for their final meeting of the 2009-2010 club year at the Community Church. Guests for the day included Carol Boren, Candy Reisinger, Mary Jane Higgins, and Olene Shore.

Officers were installed for the coming year, and outgoing President Rusti Howard was presented with a scrapbook of memories. It was announced that Helen Murphy and Alberta Bonebrake each contributed to the annual scholarship provided by HRC, and Collinsville Senior Steven Majike was the recipient of a $500 scholarship for his Freshman year in college.

Perfect attendance awards were presented to Kitty Thomas, Carolyn Brinkley, Bobbie Loveless, Marsha Nachtigall, Linda Pfeffer, and Krista Nall.

Local Home Schooled Students
Serve As State Senate Pages

Local home schooled senior Faith Helm and sophomore Susannah Helm served as Senate pages for State Sen. Randy Brogdon (R-Owasso) during the sixteenth week of the legislative session May 17-21, 2010. Faith and Susannah are the daughters of Rogers County Commissioner Mike and Susan Helm. The family lives in Collinville.
