Overlays Continue |
Tulsa County crews continued applying asplalt overlays on designated Collinsville Streets this week. The photo above showed their activities near 11th & Broadway Thursday. The improvements are funded by an increase in Collinsville city sales tax approved by voters in April 2009. Mayor Stan Sallee estimated about a third of the planned overlays had been completed as of mid-day Thursday May 6th, 2010. |

High School Graduation Site |
I had a chance to visit the TU Reynolds Center Friday morning with the school officials checking out the facilities for next Thursday's CHS Graduation (May 13 at 7pm). The doors will open at 6pm on the 11th Street side (near Harvard in Tulsa). Harvard is down to 2 lanes with construction. Check back later for additional information. If all goes well, the slideshow before the 7pm start will be on the scoreboard this year and there will be plenty of seats for everyone. -- Ted Wright -- Friday May 7th -- The center was configured for the Tulsa University graduation in the photo above and will vary slightly for a flurry of high school ceremonies this next week. |
