SKIATOOK BUSINESS STUDENTS PRESENT A CAREER FAIR
FOR THE COMMUNITY

For Immediate Release

03/05/10 Skiatook, Oklahoma - The Business Professionals of America Students at Skiatook High School are presenting a Career Fair "Connecting People with Opportunity" on Saturday, April 17, from 9 - 1 at the High School in Skiatook, Oklahoma.

If you are one of those looking to make a career change or looking for a career opportunity, then you are invited to attend the Career Fair. Wall street is struggling. Main street shops are closing their doors. Automobile sales are in reverse, or at best it seems, stalled in the slow lane. Homes are going back to the bank. Regardless of the cause the result is the same: reduced work hours, salary cuts, and job loss.

"The Business students are being encouraged and supported in this event by the Skiatook Chamber of Commerce, along with various other Industry leaders", said Michael Lewis, their Business and Technology teacher.

For more information, call or email Michael Lewis at 918-396-1790 x219 or mlewis@skiatookschools.org. Or, contact Mrs. Stephanie Upton with the Skiatook Chamber of Commerce at 918-396-3702 or s-upton@sbcglobal.net.

Scam Warning
Ted, Today I was informed by my mother of a phone call that she received yesterday, and I thought that it is something that the people of Collinsville should be aware of. She answered the phone and they asked for her by name as if they were reading her name directly from the phone book (she never identified herself). They asked if she was aware of all of the break-ins that have been happening in and around Collinsville, they then proceeded to solicit money from her in exchange for protection from the break-ins. The number was blocked so she was not able to give any information to the police. Would you please post this on your website so that everybody is aware of this scam. -- Thanks, Tanner G. (3/3/2010)
